JPMBB PhysioCarrier

by Margaret Taylor | Last Updated: June 2019

The latest generation of baby carriers are a world away from those of a few years ago. Featuring high-tech materials, and designed in consultation with medical professionals, these new modern carriers are designed to ensure optimum comfort for both parent and child.

Also gone are the days of buying three or even four carriers as your child grows and develops. Nowadays, carriers are designed to adapt, so they can be used from when your child is first born until they are a toddler. Many feature multiple carrying positions, also, so you an find the most comfortable way to carry your little one around.

JPMBB Physiocarrier Review

The JPMBB Physiocarrier is one of these designs. The French company was founded by a mother and father, who were inspired by a baby carrier they received as a gift a few years back. They quickly recognised the benefits of carrying their children close to them – an increased connection between parent and child, increased freedom and autonomy for the parent, and of course a happier baby!

Since then, JPMBB have been at the forefront of baby carrier design, and the Physiocarrier is their latest offering. It inherits the look and feel of their previous, more traditional designs, whilst adding many new features for modern parents.

The JPMBB Physiocarrier is one of these designs. The French company was founded by a mother and father, who were inspired by a baby carrier they received as a gift a few years back.

The quality of the carrier is evident from the first time you encounter it. JPMBB really prides themselves on making products which are stylish, perhaps due to their French roots! Here, though, there is no trade-off between style and function – the carrier is designed to perfectly fit the physiological needs of both parent and child.

The carrier can be used for newborns, and will adapt as they grow and develop. Using a booster pack, your child can be carried on your front or hip from birth. At six months, the position can be changed, so you can carry your toddler on your back, from where they can look out at the world.

The JPMBB Physiocarrier also incorporates many innovative features:

  • It adapts to the seasons, so you can be safe in the knowledge that your child is comfortable no matter what the weather. A zip-up pocket means that you can quickly prov >

In short, the Physiocarrier is almost a work of art, something which is apparent as soon as you open the box. The sheer number of small details and features make it obvious that a lot of thought and care has gone into the design of the carrier.

And the comfort of the carrier really has to be felt to be believed. Whilst many carriers claim comfort as their major selling point, the Physiocarrier raises the bar in terms of ergonomic design.

Of course, as with any innovative design, the Physiocarrier has some minor problems. When stacked against its extra features and supreme comfort, however, these are really nothing more than niggles.

But, I suppose, if you were feeling mean, you could say that:

The instructions are in French. The carrier is so intuitive to use and adjust that this is not really a problem, but if you really want to read the heartwarming messages from other parents included in the product booklet, you’ll have to remember your schoolboy/girl French!

Some people find the extra padding on the straps and sling can be bulky. Whilst this is a matter of opinion, in my experience a little extra padding makes all the difference on those long walks, meaning that both you and your child stay comfortable.

Of course, as with any new product, using the carrier for the first time can be a little complicated as you get used to all its extra features. Soon, though, you will strapping up your little one within a matter of seconds, and running down to the shops!

Our Final Thoughts on the Physiocarrier

Many baby carriers make much of their innovative extra features – pockets, high-tech materials, and ergonomic design. The JPMBB Physiocarrier, though, is really the perfect blend of extra features and simplicity.

The love that has gone into the design of the carrier really shines through, with a wealth of small details that make it a joy to use. And of course, the fact that it adapts as your child grows means that you can keep using it for ages.

In short, if you are looking for a super-comfortable carrier that will adapt to the weather and make sure both you and your child are happy, this is the one for you!
